----------- My First Game... (Screenshot)
Summary
After being provided a tutorial based around making your first game on programme, 'Game Maker.' The all important 15 page tutorial guided me through a game with a theme of fruit with explosives ready to capture points. Points would be displayed in the top left corner. The sprites were already made up for us, ready for us to use. We hadn't undertook this task alone as we were paired up so we could help one another out... My partner (Matt)

Skills
Skills saw us adding in vital functions like; "adding in an event". This was important to our sprites because it would enable us, to go to our sprites and make them bounce of the wall, for instance the strawberry. Each fruit would then go into 'escape' mode to try and find a way out of the square shape but it would only bounce of the side. If this hadn't been applied it the sprites would but just in standstill mode, just like they are in the screenshot.

Summary
All thanks to the tutorial, it has given me a library worth of skills which I take into future 'Game Maker' projects, just like this next exercise where it was time to put our sprites from the (9th Feb) to good use. The road related sprites. For the second part of the morning we went into being freelance students as we made our very own game from skills, work we have produced and combing the two together. The end product is above this in the centre of the page.
Reflection
With three weeks to crack hold of Game Maker and all the skills and secrets to learn, I would say this was an ok attempt seeing, I haven't been on Game Maker since ICT in primary school. I am confident my skills will pick up when we get more engaged with it in the coming weeks. I am planning to see my tutor Friday after college (26th Feb) to go over the tutorial again, so I get a full understanding.
