Feedback...
Last week (26th November) my group fully prepared ourselves (listed below) to present to our tutor and audience. Our 'pitch' and the grade which our tutor presented to us was a merit! Knowing that we did well, meant progression was at the stage of being able to progress forward as a group with our idea. Gaining feedback was valuable to us as we have learnt what our audience and tutor want to see. By learning this, we were enabled as a group to trigger some more ideas. The vital decision was to make the advert more successful and leave the audience wanting to purchase the product. __________________________________ |

Contingency Plan
As our idea is located outside at a bus stop we would only have to come across one possible issue to make procedures go smoothly; which would be the weather.
The weather can play an important part in effecting outside filming and like many other real life adverts it may disturb proceedings. If the weather 'isn't on our side' we have the opportunity of being inside our college campus. Ideally we do need the bus stop, as it is part of the whole storyline. When back up location was being considered, a vital decision from our group, was the use of the common room. The thought of being inside wouldn't be the first choice but if we waste time and wait for a perfect day to come we are not making use of valuable time management.
Going back to the weather element if we shoot in a dull looking day it gives the audience that 'miserable' "down in the dumps" mood, but if we have it on a nice sunny day the mood will be lifted instantly. Clear/sunny days results in no issues with camera lighting and a perfect view through the lenses.

Revisions and Decisions
When making the decision between I and Anna's ideas, my idea had 'simple' ringing round on everyone's lips. This was repeated an awful lot of times in after pitch questions and tutor feedback. Sadly Anna's idea was slightly more the opposite, but as ever we went with what the audience wanted. My idea is simple because the actors involved don't have to muck their lines (no re runs) or laugh in the middle. I would say the part where the actors are acting may cause a few difficulties as the way in which the characters are portrayed it may be funny to look at.
It is an easy accessible walking distance to location (bus stop) and an easy search for two actors (college students) .
One last point to make is actors can so easily get camera shy (may cause problems)

I know we are considering doing it inside if the weather isn't on our side, I think our best bet is to look at the BBC weather website in advance before go in to decide the best day of shooting. If it is cold it wont matter as the audience are not interested in that information. Getting a sunny day results in many shooting benefits such as good lighting, positive advert feel and gives the characters a happy mood.

In our spare time and within college time it is very important as a group to pull together and take snaps, just like we are designing a mood board but it is for the benefit of showing off our bus stop location. Pictures will include an array of different angles for our college bus stops, the bus stop bench and the footpath where the characters walk in and out of shot. Of course we would need to gather some backup shots if we do have to face the fact we are doing the inside idea. Every shot will be for the benefit of helping us with the shooting when it comes around to have a rough idea.

Actors will be me as the male character and Anna as the female character. This is still to be confirmed as we got to challenge with Anna's camera shy problem. If she doesn't want to take up this role we would need to look to Alayna (other female class mate). If she also declines we will need to look elsewhere with some back up actors too, in case something occurs during the day of shooting, for example someone pulls out due to illness.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is not just back up female characters, as for instance I may even fall ill on the day so a replacement of male character would need to be enforced. This goes for the cameraman as well in case Jay pulls out.

Like mentioned above. the two actors required will be both male and female college students. We know the personality of them both are geeky and attractive but with the use of costume and makeup, we can create this. As a group of three we thought it would be best to use what we have. I am the 'geeky' male character and Anna is the 'attractive' female. Alayna is on stand by.

Noise and surroundings:
With the public around and waiting for the bus we would need to ask them to politely move whilst we shoot.
Staying with the public there may be some individuals who pull gestures again whilst shooting.
With noise from cars and other vehicles driving by us, we know that they will make an awful lot of sound. In our advert there isn't any sound so that doesn't effect this as well when editing we can easily cut out the backing sound.
