Backgrounds
Two games that I play on a regular basis merged into one big idea for me when having an idea for the background. (Fifa 16 and Fifa Street) Fifa for the grass style kind of pitch and Fifa Street for the concrete style kind of pitch. I will have an option in the game called 'pitch selector' which enables you to pick one of the two pitches available. If I had more time with this project, I would make more pitches such as a snow pitch.

Any Asset
Inspiration from Sky Sports
When the Sky Sports cameras are on and filming the football every weekend, in the top left hand corner is a scoreboard with the teams in their colours and have their names shortened. I have designed the scoreboard in my game similar to this. Only difference is mien will only feature just the one country and their score.
Feedback and Comments (from friend)
"Czech Republic national side's kit colours are all white, the same as England meaning this will be confusing to tell who is who when playing the game. Replace with a different kit colour team, like Sweden, Belgium or Spain."
Reacting
I have reacted by picking another country from the Euros (Sweden) A strong side to make it a balance of good and bad teams in my game. Reacting made me have to design the Sweden flag for the 'pick a team' option and designing a Sweden scoreboard. All designed to replace Czech Republic, who will no longer feature in my top down shooter game.

Characters/Enemies
When I was starting out last week with early pre production, I thought having say 6 enemies of all the same team for example 6 players from the England national side would provide a Fifa 16 kind of game, but now as it is week 2 I have had a CHANGE IN PLAN!!! As the Euros is all about football it is also trying to promote 'togetherness' in Europe and as an idea, I thought whatever team you pick would then have to come against the remaining teams all at once.

"Yellow used on a green background is not a good idea as it is too bright and would not be visible. Consider using a different colour or design something like a Lucozade bottle".
Reacting
I have token a suggestion from my tutor (designing a Lucozade bottle) and going forward with it for being one of my obstacles in the game. When reflecting, I do agree with him yellow would be to bright for a green (grass) or grey (concrete) background.
As you can see there is yellow parts which feature on the bottle but it all merges together ever so well. Blue is a good colour to go with green or even grey as they are all complimentary colours. Blue and green provides a Earthy kind of feel, which is not the intention in the game.
